Animal Viewing Impact Alert: Hippos

Painting inside and around the African Savannah Building will impact hippo viewing. Hippos will not be viewable on the following dates:
Tuesday, May 20 – Friday, May 23
Monday, May 26 – Friday, May 30
Monday, June 2 – Tuesday, June 3
Our giraffe tower will remain viewable indoors or outdoors (weather permitting). Thank you for your understanding.

The Dorothy Harvie Gardens and the ENMAX Conservatory will be closed for private events on the following dates:

  • Thursday, May 29th, last entry at 12:45 p.m.

Outdoor Viewing Closure: Gorilla Amphitheatre

The outdoor Gorilla Amphitheatre is closed for the season. Gorillas are viewable in the indoor African Rainforest Building habitat.

Join us for a TREE-mendous Workshop with Professor Elwood Pricklethorn!

Wild Scout members are invited to experience the wonders of trees through Professor Pricklethorn's unique green-coloured lenses. These engaging sessions will reveal that trees are far more than just outdoor furniture—they are vital allies in our quest for a healthier planet.

We are excited to offer two distinct presentations, each tailored to different age groups. Both sessions will teach us to respect and care for trees, helping us understand the countless ways they support us and the global environment. Discover the many good things trees do for us every single day and leave with a renewed appreciation for these silent guardians of our world.

  • Trees Please and Thank you is for Wild Scout Child MEMBERS ONLY.

  • Ticket does not include entrance to the Wilder Institute/Calgary Zoo. To enter the zoo present a valid Membership Card at the access/entrance to be scanned.

  • Will be required to present your Wild Scout ticket along with a valid child membership card to gain access to the event. The Wild Scout Child ticket will be scanned at the ENMAX Conservatory to enter the banquet room.

  • Adults: Please advise in the note field below how many adults will be accompanying the child.
    ** Does not include admission to the zoo To enter the zoo must have valid membership or purchase day admission.

  • Ticket is to reserve your spot and time for Member exclusive access.
