Access and Viewing Impacts: Wild Canada

Tree pruning and maintenance will impact access and viewing:

The Brawn Family Foundation Bugtopia playground will be closed all day on Wednesday, April 9th, and all day on Wednesday, April 16th.

Our North American porcupine ‘Nettles’ will be off-view from Tuesday, April 8th, until noon on Wednesday, April 9th.

The ZooCare Adopt a Species program helps us provide exceptional care to over 4,000 animals that call the Wilder Institute/Calgary Zoo home. With your support and symbolic adoption, we feed our animals specially designed diets and create enrichment activities that encourage natural behaviours.

Animal Adoption Packages

$25 E-Adoption Package

We'll email you a personalized adoption certificate and biofact PDF. You'll be helping us save both paper and postage fees -- which means more of your donation goes toward caring for the animals! If you don't see the animal of your choice in the menu, please make a note in the comments.

$50 Feature Animal Adoption Package

You package includes a personalized adoption certificate for your chosen animal, a full-colour collector biofact collector card, photo magnet and window sticker.

$100 Feature Animal Adoption Package

In addition to your personalized adoption certificate for your chosen animal, a full-colour collector biofact collector card, photo magnet and window sticker you will receive a plush toy.

'In the Heat of the Night' Zoo Care Adoption Package

Surprise your special someone with a symbolic $50 or $100 Zoo Care adoption in their name, and it will be ready and waiting at your table for when you arrive! Beyond being an extra surprise for your guest, your generous donation is also a special treat for the animals in our care, supporting their care, feeding, and enrichment.
